Rishika Goel, a First-year M.tech student, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Jaypee University of Information Technology did her internship at IIT Mandi. At IIT Mandi, she worked in the Control System Lab, Department of Electrical Engineering on a fascinating and ambitious project focused on improving agriculture practices. The project aimed to help farmers better control their crops' environment. She had the opportunity to assemble various sensors to monitor crucial factors like temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and light exposure. Additionally, She integrated a GSM module to transmit this real-time data to a central computer for analysis.
Amit Roy, Second-year M.tech student, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Jaypee University of Information Technology completed the Winter Training Program 2023-24 conducted at IIT Kanpur on Machine Learning from 02-01-2024 to 16-01-24. The program was organised by the E & ICT Academy, IIT Kanpur (which is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and IIT Kanpur) and RCPL consultancy. The program covers basic to intermediate-level machine learning techniques and its applications. The hands-on learning experience helped to understand the subject well. The program was started with basic Python programming and it explores how to collect data, data manipulation, data plotting and practical implementation of machine learning techniques and use of machine learning in different sectors. It was an opportunity to work on the computer lab Indian supercomputer - a high-performance computing machine, ‘PARAM’.

Manav Modi, and Ekal Sharma, B.Tech, Final year ECE, JUIT were selected for the CHANAKYA UG fellowship, sponsored by iHUB Divya Sampark set up under NM-ICPS at IIT Roorkee. Their project is on "Bridge Safety Systems" is started from September 2023 for six months. For the six months they will receive a remuneration of INR 10,000/- per month.
